At Seeing Beyond, we make the writing process manageable.
First we help you identify your standout qualities. We rarely know the most interesting things about ourselves because they are so integrated into our lives. We help students pinpoint the things about them that colleges will find compelling.
Once we've identified topics, we help students outline and draft their essays, breaking the overall application process into discrete and achievable tasks. We help students hone their writing to craft unique and compelling narratives.
Finally, we'll go through an editing and revision process that will enhance the effectiveness of your application.

At Seeing Beyond, we know that everyone has a story. BUT not everyone is a writer. Whether writing is your passion or makes you cringe, we can help you craft authentic essays that highlight the unique qualities that make you a great student and community member.
At Seeing Beyond, we're storytellers — fiction and nonfiction writers, filmmakers, photographers, and artists. As lifelong learners, we have breadth and depth of knowledge that we use to help students dig deep. We help our students engage readers and leave admissions officers eager to meet them and inspired to invest in their futures.
Starting out, I had no idea what I wanted to write about or what made me stand out as an applicant. My advisor helped me figure out how best to present through my application, from early-stage brainstorming through to final drafts of my Common App and supplemental essays. We worked together to break up essay-writing into small, manageable goals.
